Thanks!

The top M4's grip is, in fact, a Hogue. They can be found at nearly any shop that sells AR stuff, or can be ordered online through just about any vendor.

As for the ML2, I use mine in daylight all the time, and it works very well. There are many settings for dawn 'til dusk operation (and beyond). I highly recommend this sight.

Good luck!

A3 all day!
Why limit you're options with an A2?

You can always throw a Detachable carry handle on the A3 if you like the A2 style.
Plus, you can start shooting with just a BUIS, while you save for the other goodies.

'nuther Aimpoint question: do Comp ML2's actually have that red tint when you're looking in the front at an angle or is that just something that happens when you take a picture or edited in? Also is it JUST a little red dot or is it more like an ACOG?

My 3rd M4gery build will be done within the next couple of weeks-
and it just happens that's the EXACT configuration(minus the AAC can-Michigan sucks)
I was planning on.

Blanco,
Not a cantilever mount, but The USGI Issue Aimpoint QRP mount
can be had for under $100 plus spacer.
It's economical, Gov't issue and is built like a tank.

check the EE or www.adcofireams.com

No you would not need the last full or half spacer. The cant spacer is a full, just pushed forward.

Thanks Diablo, I do love the ACOG, and Aimpoints too

I only own three ACOGs though, and have to swap them between rifles. Some of the pics I listed above show the same optic mounted on different weapons. The 6400C and the skunk carbine pictured above for example are wearing the same optic.

Aimpoint sells their QRP Quick Release Picatinny mount for about $86 plus you need their spacer for about another $10. It's not a cantilever at less than $100 and used by our military. Just look at the GI photos in your (this same page) thread.
