I have a post ban Arsenal SLR-105R (no muzzle brake threads on the front sight block) and would like to add the imported 3 rail  TDI/CAA synthetic lower handguard. Would I then have too many imported parts ? Currently  the hammer, trigger, disconnector, rear stock, handguard and pistol grip are US made. This gives me 6 US parts. I am not sure if the post ban Front sight block couunts as a muzzle device. I cannot determine if the gas piston is US made as it is not marked. .Anyone have any ideas ?

dntama, The gas piston in my 105 is Bulgarian.  Generally US parts are marked US.  I think the US part count is same for 105 and 105A1(w/Bulgy ak brake)  Not 100% sure though.  Call Arsenal.  They should be able to give you definitive answer.

If you have six US parts, and no muzzle device/threads, then you are actually a US part ahead.  So unless I am wrong, you can replace your lower handguard with the foreign part and be ok.
