Anyone ever hear of one?
After a day at the range and wishing my AK had a old eyes friendly AR type rear sight I got to thinking. Maybe it would be possible to attach something like a Lyman reciever peep sight to the reciever right there at the back. The Lyman sights slide up and out of their bases so that would take care of removing the reciever cover and the location at the rear would be nicer than the Mojo type setups.
Anyone have any ideas or comments?
Thanx,
GaryM
Editted to add;
Maybe even something that attaches to the side scope mount...

Besides AKs, I have a Lyman on my Rem540X 22 rifle. I had one of these www.securityarms.com/20010315/galleryfiles/orig/norhunt.htm and there were screws at the rear which secured the dust cover with side tabs to the receiver for some stability and repeatability.
You could make a brace for the Lyman and tape it to the receiver for a test drive, then JB Weld it if you really prefer it.
But for about $130, most get a Kobra or PSO4x. Or $40 gets you a Mojo/Krebs peep in the stock sight location.
