i have a GP WASR-10 and i wanted to know if anyone knows how you can find out what year the original gun was manufactured, not the year it was built over here.

If your trunnion has a electro-penciled engraved trunnion, it should have suffix on the serial number of like "-03" for year 2003. Now a few late 2003 SAR and the early WASR-10 rifles have been reported with trunnions have NOS (New Old Stock) military trunnions leftover from factory military production. Some of these will be stamped with prefix military dated of around the mid 1980's but these rifles were obviously not built then.

my early gp-wasr-10 has 82 suffix and the muzzle is threaded 1/2"x20rh. i think century threaded them. i also noticed the trunion, bolt, carrier, and top cover is a little different finish than the rest of the parts.
