so i got a vz58 to mount to the draco. I need to drill and tap the draco so i can mount the stock. Any advice on the size of drill bit and  tap to use?

Thank you gentlemen.

Are you speaking of a VZ folding stock for a Draco pistol?

double tap.

I believe it is an 11mm drill bit if I remember correctly. The tap size can be found out by asking swatbwana, he put some info up on the Draco SBR thread. I cannot remember the tap size myself off hand. Both products can be bought at your local hardware store.

The other key to the project is to decide where you are going to place the index notch at. You can either cut a notch in the top of the rear tang for the index notch or you can drill an index notch hole into the middle of the tang which IMO is the smartest and most functional way to do it.

On the inside of the of the vz-58 stock there is an index notch which stops the stock from moving around when folding it.

You have to cut an index notch into the rear tang of the pistol one of two ways.

1) Cut a notch out of the top of the rear tang in a U-shape to allow the index notch to rest in it. (which is the least desirable method)

2) Drill a spot out of the upper-middle part of the rear tang allowing the index notch to seat inside it. (the most desirable method)

Should use an 11mm tap drill and a M12x1.0 tap for standard VZ58 mounting bolt.
