I once saw something that replaced the rear sight and has a weaver style scope base to make kinda scout type scope mount, I think it was like $ 60 bucks, anyone remember where to get one, or have one to sell..thanks

You will have to find a used one. They were made by ACE I belive, but they are no longer in production.

Try these two. I have one of each. Both are pretty decent mounts.

I don't know that I would give up my irons completely for that. I don't think it looks sturdy enough with that much rail hanging off into space.

Why not do what I did and go with the Ultimak scout rail?

I like this set-up and you keep your iron sights.

I like my Ultimak quite a bit. I just shot about 100 rds thru my ak the other day, and it barely got warm to the touch.

I like the scout mount that lets you use the mount as irons. I would still prefer to get a Russian scope but if I did not have the side mount I would go for it.

cant do the ultimak, on this AK buils I used AMD 65 handguards for the top and bottom handguards, thats why I need one of those sights that replace the rear sight

Would be nice to see a longer version in a true MIL STD 1913 configuration that let you put a BUIS and enough area for say, an M68 or an EOTECH. Poland developed something like that a couple of years ago.
