I bought the yugo M-70 from atlantic a while ago. Now I see they dont't come with greenlight arms recievers anymore. Was there somthing wrong with the greenlight arms reciever? I am completly pleased with the fit finish of this gun , bore looks great . In fact it is my favorite ak now. Anyone else out there bought the M-70 from atlantic? If so what was the quality of your yugo. I hear all these bad things about the yugos but mine is great. Also let me know what happend to greenlight.

Go to gunco.net and register, looking at the AK forums.  Whole threads there.

Basically, Greenlight's early prototypes looked great, then he couldn't deliver his product, resulting in many people getting their money back and going with another manufacturer (DCI).

Atlantics Yugos were built by Red Jacket firearms and I think they only made 20 or 50, and the initial batch were supposed to be lovely - so you've got a rare item.

That rat basterd greenlight never delivered! refunded my money about 2 weeks ago after I paid in May.

Go with DCI and Harlan.  Harlan is A+++ in my books.

Good Luck

I just got a DCI underfolder receiver in my shop for transfer to AKaTom.. It is by far the BEST 100% receiver I have ever seen.. I simply cannot wait for DCI's other products.. I am holding off all builds till they have their AKM and 74 receivers avalible..

I was told that even some of the early receivers had problems. Although they looked great I guess there where some fine cracks that only showed after refinishing.

Ask MrKrink about their receivers he seems to be a big fan of them Just kidding

Yeah buddy!!!

I got the first Yugo built in the US on a Green(RED)Light Arms rec and it is as Templar says, not bad, but nothing like the POS he sent me HERE !!!

I got the RPK on Greenlight's #0002 receiver and like Templar said it looks great but the selector hole was drille a little too low, about the heat treating, I would rather have a completely heat treated receiver but they way it was done works just fine. Here are some pics.

Notice slight gap between cover and selector. Minor annoyance but not critical. Also note color difference between area around pins and rest of receiver, that's how you know the entire receiver is not heat treated.

xcibes, is it the photos or are the trigger and hammer pin holes a bit oversized?
