Most if not all pin ons I have seen use a std roll pin. Any full service autoparts store should have one, you might have to trim it to length though.

ahh...sounds good. I'll have to check there. You got any idea what the threads on a MAK-90 would be? after i got the break off, there appears to be some very mild thread on the end of the barrel. The whole barrel has this very fine thread looking pattern on it. I'm wandering if this is a threaded. I'm guessing not, but i guess it doesn't hurt to check.

The thread that were there were 14mm x 1.0 pitch. The light "threads" you see running the length of the barrel are actually milling marks. What is left on the end of the barrel was usually ground down.
I am guessing that somewhere on your receiver you will find the mark "386" is that correct? |

I do not see the 386 mark anywhere.
It is a "Norinco MAK-90 Sporter". Ser # 941235XX. It also has a scratching that reads " C.J.A. SFLD MI" I'm guessing that's importer info. But i think you are correct....this looks like milling marks rather than threading. It just looks weird cause i've never seen milling marks left on like that. |

lathe...mill...pre-med, pre-law....whats the f$cking difference! Not everybody here is an anal-retentive rocket engineer! They are f$cking cut marks!
NAM, Ignore Bob, its his midol time...ifn' you know what I mean! Your gun was brought in right after the ban in 89. Thus the name Mak90, and made in factory 66, and exported by Norinco (North China Industries Co), and imported into the US by C.J.A. SFLD MI. These guns are of good high quality, and are great shooters. Thanks much for the info!! This is my first Ak. I bought it from a buddy for $250. It's in great shape, and came with 4 30 round mags. My buddy wanted to build an M4 and needed cash. I tihnk i got a good deal ;) |
