man, I just ordered 3k rounds ammo for my AKs...1k .223, 1k 5.45 and 1k 7.62x39...also tossed in 800+ rounds .303 from SPG.  $450 approx shipped for all that, not too bad (that includes a coupon and my buyers club discount).    Gets expensive to feed those AKs....this will hold me over for about a year im hoping.

Well, it is still one of the cheapest centerfire rifles to shoot, so don't be too depressed.  Just go buy one of those short magnum things and see what that will get ya!!!

this is what I tell myself..

Also I noticed they sell the 7.62x39 ammo for $90, as opposed to the $120 price ive seen on it go up to lately.  With the hike to $120 for the 7.62x39 other places, I dont feel so bad paying $120 for the 5.45 and .223 now.

I could use more .308 but...itll have to wait.

on a side note, I really want a Romak-3

Shooting airsoft is alot of fun,I shot an Airsoft MP 5 with a 7.62 AK,the plastic MP 5 flew about 10 feet up each time it was hit!

Ya, thats another reason to look into buying one...cheap to feed, fun shooter....its just hard to scrap together the $700 or so for one.  I gotta shoot that SLR-105R I got, its unfired!  tomorrow is the range day for that rifle most definitly.

heres a question , does a  Romak 3 with a threaded barrel constitute an Assault Rifle?  I am curious as I am in NY state...and we cant have fun toys like others can.

If you think feeding AK's are expensive, don't ever buy yourself an AR, much less anything in .308!

People thought I was crazy paying $0.14 a round delivered for 7.62x39 from Ammoman, but after the current pricing of $0.22+ a round 5.56x45 for an AR that ammo seems like a freaking steal!

3800 rounds will last you a year? You must be going to shoot them in a "bolt action", LOL ...

I got a .308...my PTR-91.  Reasons this amount will last me a year is:

1) I dont get to shoot often as most the time im at college or away somewhere else
2) I have a number of different caliber rifles
3)  I bring multiple rifles to the range when I go
4) I have a budget and cant blow 10k on guns a year as some can
5) Theres a ton of guns I want to buy, and in order for me to afford them, I cant go shooting all the time and rip through ammo

I dont plan on buying an AR, dont worry about that haha...they dont do anything for me.

You need to get a .22 LR AK!!!  1.7 cents a round to shoot.  Only 10 round mags though.....
