I managed to get the barrel nut off my Nhm91 and would like to install an RPK look alike muzzle device. I've looked around but haven't found one. 14x1 Lefthand threads right?

You're correct on the 14x1 LH threads, but I think the "correct" muzzle device on an RPK being 7.62x39 caliber would be a simple muzzlenut. However if you desire something else, here's a link to Global Trades, they manufacture several different kind that might appeal to you, all of these are U.S. made. Link to Global Trades: Click Here. Hope this helps-ARKAR.

+1 A correct muzzlebrake is the just the nut. Also, the Chinese had one that they used on the RPK that was about 1 1/2 long with gas ports on the top IIRC.

Technicaly the NHM-91 is the post ban version of the 86S-7 rifle. The model 86S-7 is not a RPK copy but does have the RPK look to it. It was a model made only for the commerical export market as the Chinese never mfg. or issued the RPK to their military forces. If you go to
www.drzero.org/ak1/index.htm and download the NHM-91 manual you can see that the pic of the rifle on the cover is really a 86S-7 with a thumbhole stock. Note the bipod is attached in front of the front sight.

The correct muzzle brake for the 86s-7 would then be this one.
