Aim's drums are Korean.  Copes are Romanian.

True! You'll see a big difference in complaints between those that purchased Copes drums vs. Aim's. The Romanian drum I got from Copes was in a different league than the one from Aim, which is obviously NOT Romanian. Im impressed with the quality of the Romanian.

Please be specfic on this?

The only complaint I have seen that involved something other than locking in rifles was from MAK.  And I believe his was Romanian and had a manufacturing defect.  Pretty sure AIM was taking care of him. And with the different measurements you find in AK rifles you are bound to run across a few that need the locking tab filed a little.

I have bought Romanians from Copes and AIM.  Both were the same.  And FWIW, both AIM and Copes have sold Romanians and SKoreans.  The only difference I have seen is the weight and the welds.  The welds aren't bad, just a little different from the Romy's.

I now have over 1K rounds through my SK and no issues.

AIM has both the Romanian and Korean drums for sale. Romanians are $10 more.

Yes please be more specific. Are you sure you're comparing Romanian to Romanian and not Romanian to Korean?

I have seen nothing that stated the Romanian drums from AIM are different than the ones from Copes. I have seen some people say that the Romanian drums are on par with the Chinese drums and that the Korean drums are a little lower quality compared to the Romanians but not that the quality is varies from the different distributors.

On the Romanian ones, I got one from each source and they were the exact same except for the defect the one I received had.  AIM received it back after I called about a return.  Too soon to know whether I get taken care of but it sounded like they will make good on it.

Johno ordered 4 Korean ones from AIM but he hasn't posted back on what the quality was on them.

I really didn't have the cash, but I bought a Romy drum from Copes.  Should be showing up on Monday.

I could have went with Korean, for a bit cheaper, but between the junk 30 and 40 founder I tried and the junk Glock magazines a friend tried....
I'm avoiding Korean.   The Romanian drums look a bit nicer as well.
