I want to put one on my wasr without spending to much. I don't want an optic that costs as much as my rifle. It must be reliable as well.

How about a used Bushnell HOLO? I know someone who is selling one.

I've tried various types of Commie optics (Kobra Gen 1 and 2, POSP, PK-AS) and just don't care for 'em. I'd love to be able to put Aimpoint ML3's on all my carbines, but that's just not financially possible. The SPOTs make good "Aimpoint simulators" for my training and play guns.

try ultradot. rock solid--if they work on a 1911, an ak should be no problem.

I bought a Clonepoint from Jacky on the EE for about $65 shipped. Have it on my AR for a few hundred rounds and has been rock solid. Battery life sucks, but for range use it fits the bill. For a cheap red dot, you might want to look at it.

What about the PK-A? I can't find any that have AK rail mounts, only SKS/SVD.
