I want to put one on my wasr without spending to much. I don't want an optic that costs as much as my rifle. It must be reliable as well.

Good tool, see if Tantal has another $25 spare Kobra side bracket, bolt a local sports store rail on it, cheap/light/low/great view...

Expect the combined recoil and carrier slamming back fwd to eat cheapo optics. Maybe a Hakko fakepoint, probably a Burris SPOT, otherwise $150+ on com-bloc or a Holosight (great view of an EOTech just not the latest electrics/field abuse upgrades)

My SPOTs (the "generic" ones, not the Burris XTS) have not had any problems at all on my AK-105 and SLR-106, using Ultimak scout mounts. I've got about 3K through the -105 and ~500 through the -106. I've tried various types of Commie optics (Kobra Gen 1 and 2, POSP, PK-AS) and just don't care for 'em. I'd love to be able to put Aimpoint ML3's on all my carbines, but that's just not financially possible. The SPOTs make good "Aimpoint simulators" for my training and play guns.

try ultradot. rock solid--if they work on a 1911, an ak should be no problem.

Yes, and it easily adapts to other non-commie guns. Just consider not getting the auto brightness model since if you are in shade and the target is in sun..... Get the manual adj version imho.

I bought a Clonepoint from Jacky on the EE for about $65 shipped. Have it on my AR for a few hundred rounds and has been rock solid. Battery life sucks, but for range use it fits the bill. For a cheap red dot, you might want to look at it.
