I am having a real bad week - I just broke off a 5mm tap in a trunnion, before I order my walton tap remover, is there anything else I should try ? The damn thing snap off flush, I can get it out with a punch or chisel.

I got mine out by beating the shiznit out of the broken part with a punch then using a carbide bit in my faithful Dremmel!
I hope that mr. Dremmel really appreciates just how many rifles he has help build/fix over the years!!! Cheers. KILO OUT |

Well I brazed a lump on the tap, and them tried to braze a nut to the lump, instead I brazed the nut to the receiver. I was able to break it right off the receiver, tap still stuck. I guess it time for Dr. Dremel.
