Saw an AK in my local paper on Sunday, "Polytech, not Norinco" $600 bucks. Called him not 5 minutes ago, still available. Owner not sure if Milled or not, "but I think so." "Bought it from my neighbor who was about to loose his house". "Just want what I got into it", Might take less. Should I take the day off to go see it, about 30 miles away. Will be watching this forum fourum untill 11:00 tonight for advice.

Go for it. Ask him what color the wood on the rifle is. If it's dark colored it could be a Legend.

Took a couple of hours off and checked out this "Poly Tech" AK. Turned out to be a stamped receiver 7.62, add on plastic thumb hole, welded on AR brake. NOT preban. Decent shape blueing. Offered him $200.00 [was stamped Poly Tech] He said he might call me back if no one else interested. Never know 'till ya get there and have a look.
