afaik, intrac/dominion arms is still in business. rotdorn may have their contact info.
the date of manufacture of your rifle is incorporated into the serial number...my guess is that it is a '99 build. brp went tits up shortly after it started making assembled ak's and ak parts. |

Campy knows that Blue Ridge AKs are my weakness... I currently own 2, and wish I had atleast 10 more! Blue Ridge Precision was headed by a man named Charles Bratton. The were builders, like Gordon Tech, MSC, etc. One thing they that was different about them was they were ahead of the curve. Charles was the first to bring to market a quality milled fire control group. They also built perm. fixed, folding stocked, stamped AKs. In addition to Kalashnikovs the built many other firearms from the kits that were being imported(PPsh41,etc). Their main product (from their CNC machines)was something to do with refrigeration equiptment. They were operating out of SC, when Charles and his partner had a falling out, this was a Campy stated in 1999. Charles kept the remaining FCGs, and was selling them out of his house, then he fell off the map, and I haven't heard from him since. It is a shame because he was a talented guy, and a nice guy to do business with. My "BlueRidge" is by far one of the best AK I have had, that is until GG drilled one side of the barrell pin hole off center. I just got it back after finally having his work fixed, rebarrelled and refinnished. The old barrell had what looked like two groves running side by side with a little space between them, weid lookin! I dont believe the barrell was mfg. that or how shooting could cause that. BlueRidge is got my vote for a Quality built AK!!! |

There is a stamped Blue Ridge for sale at GunsAmerica right now;
www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976357511.htm I almost bought it, but I really wanted a milled AK and found and SLR-95 for about the same price. The guy sent me pics, the gun looks real good. Stock is brown plastic with pebble grain texture. Slant brake, 45 degree gas block and nice finish. He said the barrel is like new. If you buy it from him, tell me Lukejt snet you. I had Charles build me a rifle based on the SLR100 receiver and a LN polish milled kit. Charles completed the build with a rich deep blueing, rather than parkerizing it. The rifle has his trigger group, which I had tuned by Charles. He could build a top class AK, thats for sure!
