i bought a PS2(play station 2) about 11 months ago at the age of 30. i hadn't played video games since i was in high school. one of the kids that worked for me a couple of years ago was playing this game called freedom fighters and he was shooting the hell out of the bad guys with a Bizon2. so i bought a game system and the game. i am an AK-holic and i play this game once and a while to get my fix.

a bunch of 74 action

a couple of PKMs, a 74, and some Bizon2 action

am i weird or what?

glad to see i'm not the only one! my hobby is still burgeoning. i'll have to look into the games you mentioned. i have tried a few others, but was disappointed with some of their controlability. i guess rental is the way to go to try them on the cheap. i lucked out that my ps2 has the online game pack and i just got a dsl connection.

edit: freedom fighters 2 should be coming out this fall/ early winter, i hope they expanded it alot.

I'm 30 also..........just got BF2........started playing Counter Strike in Beta 3........went downhill fast after Beta7.........degraded to a bunch of whiny, bitchy, bunny-hopping B.S.
I rarely play it anymore, DOD was/is good fun on the right server. I got dragged into Battlefield 2 by a bunch of guys at work ( all over 30, ) so I'm kinda diggin' on it right now........just need another gig of ram and better vid card..........someday........
Oh, and I blame this all on my Dad, who bought an Atari 2600 in the summer of 1980.......and yes, I still have it.

I am 34yo and like to play Ghost Recon player vs player and there you can use a Bizon, Nikonv AN-94 or a Grosa with GP-25. I usually use the AN-94 w/GP-25 for shits and giggles. If you use the Machine gunner player then you can use the RPD or PKM.

My 63 year old dad plays games like Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Doom, HalfLife, etc. I don't think it's all that suprising seeing as how TV's gone Reality Show crazy and isn't very entertaining.

Growing up, we had an Atari 2600, Commodore Vic 20, that crappy little Texas Instruments POS, an Apple 2e, an Oddysey, Sega Saturn, Nintendo, etc. I don't think my fascination with video games is going to go away. The technology and quality of the games keeps getting better, and it's far more stimulating than watching Survivor 47 on TV.

FF is probably the coolest F#$%in game on the planet. I have it on GameCube and PC and can never get enough of it.

Nice Post!

btw, FF2 should be out around Christmas time, imagine what they have in store for the next version.......

maybe a game 4 times as long, a nationwide guerrilla war...................

Yea, I'm 39 and have an X-Box and PS2 in the bedroom (wife hates it). My boys, 15 and 12 have the same in the gameroom plus a Game cube. I have to admit it is strange when they come down to borrow one of "my" games.........even stranger when I want to borrow one of thiers. Right now I'm hooked on Forza. Will have to try Freedom Fighters and can't wait for HL2 to come out.
