Does anyone know if i can get an ak with a synthetic stock that takes hi cap mags, for less than 500 bucks? thanks for the info, it is much appriciated!

one option- get a wsar from aimsurplus(329) and get a full set of poly stock from k-var(100ish).
thats probably your easiest way. even got the option of different calibers for the ak now.

I have a couple folding stocks like that New in the bag $45 to your door. Tapco wants $60 plus shipping .

I wouldnt buy the folding Tapco stock I really think its not that good. When its folded it claps on the reciever and i didnt think it was all that soild when i twas folded out. And if i remember corectly is didnt have any metal parts in the hinge/trunnion. Stick with the NATO length polymer stock that you can get from K-Var the plum looks really cool too.

If you can find one just get a Vector Arms. Forget about a folder unless you get an underfolder which is uncomfortable to shoot or have a 74 style installed(more money) or an E.German wire. I use ACE stocks but I don't use either version of their folding mechanism. Atlantic may have some Vectors in stock ...
