I'm thinking about adding a 5.45mm AK-74 replica to my collection.
What's the best route to go ? pick out a SAR?
I want it to look like a soviet AK-74 when I'm done with it.
Let's see some pics of your 5.45mm rifles.

The first is the Krebs M3 in 5.45

This is a Bulgarian parts kit with a SAR2 donor receiver. Even the mag catch has been changed out.

Both run like dreams. Not one problem w/thousands and thousands of rounds thru them.

Top is a Romanian CUR-2. Great shooter, has at least 3k round through it(never a malfunction), and was able to hit the 300 yard gong at Rio Salado in Phoenix all the time.

The bottom is a box stock SAR-2 that will be treated to a K-VAR stock, RSA trigger group, and K-VAR muzzle brake when funds permit.

What kind of muzzle break is on your SAR2 with the Bulgie wood?

Gary you are killing me!

I guess there is no possibility the Bulgie 74 is mine and you just haven't had the chance to send me an email telling me its done?

Well, these are old, but mostly 5.45 pics:

Each one is getting a matching FAL, and I have some doodads arriving from Tapco to change these up a little.

Thanks for sharing(again) Omar!

I love seeing the "flair" you add to some of your pics.
