Wow, I remember 6 monhts ago during the gun surge how you couldn't get your hands on receivers at all. Now they're falling out of the sky on sale! Welcome to the other end of the gun bubble, folks. By the way Mike, I've read that your receivers are legendary. I've got one built with one of your receivers as well and they're GREAT!

Will the NDS-1 work with a Romanian kit or just Hungarian? I know they have the NDS-3 "economy" AKM receiver but was looking for a premium receiver for my daughters Romanian parts kit. Thanks!
ETA: Since they seem to be getting caught up on receivers I wish they would offfer the custom serial # option again as I had missed out on getting a custom serial # AK for my daughter because I was over in the "sandbox" when they stopped offering it.

The NDS-1 will work with any fixed stock AKM kit.
You will have to locate and drill the rivet holes though. |

Is the NDS-1 "Premium" worth the extra couple bucks over the NDS-3 "Economy"? What is the real difference? I would be looking to buy two for a pair of Romanian G-kits I stashed away a few years ago. I would likely have this done buy a reputable builder will he care wether its an NDS1 or NDS3?

The NDS-3 is made for ease of assembly, and has been used in the thousands by individuals and Manufacturers to build "shooter grade" rifles for general consumption. The NDS-1 is made to be a more authentic replica of a mid-period European Pattern AKM, and thus, is the preferred receiver for building a "collector grade" rifle. They are made to the same high quality standards, and are both fully heat treated 4130 steel. |

I picked up the USPS MO today and will get it postmarked tomorrow after I put a copy of the FFL in the envelope tonight. I wished I could've afforded the 10 that I needed but will get by with the 4 I'm ordering for now. Thanks NDS!

I will have to see if I can "afford" to add a couple more receivers, to the 4 I already sent off for on the 12th, before this new extension to the 19th.
On the other hand I'm deeply bummed about the non-availability of custom serial # receivers in the future by NDS.
