Same reason their money said "Central Bank of Iraq" written across the top of it. What that reason is, I dunno, but their Saddam currency had English on it too.

The photo of the gold plated "7.62*54 gold sniper rifle" is a close up of the Gold PSL thats at the bottom left. The inset pic looks like a gold plated Yugo M-90
