SurplusRifle.com is full of good info, has takedown schematics etc....its pretty easy to dissasemble and clean your sks, mounting a scope can be challenging, there are a few offerings in mounts that go right over the rear removable reciever cover that has to come off for cleaning, they have a slight bit of play in them and pose an issue holding perfect zero after being removed / reinstalled when you clean the rifle. You'll find mounts that require some more effort involving drilling and tapping the left side of the reciever, but these allow the rear cover to come off without having to remove the mount and scope and they will stay zeroed more reliably for you. Best of luck with your new rifle, enjoy it.

Congrats on getting your Yugo!

Besides Surplus Rifle, you might also want to check out Yooper John's SKS Pages for info on your rifle's year of manufacture.

As an alternative to a scope you might consider Tech-SIGHTS TS200, which is a great aperture sight. Parts can be found at many vendors; some of the often used are Tapco, Rifletech, AIM, Midway, SKSMan and Brownell's.

Also check out Survivor's SKS Boards, Murrays and kivaari for slamfire and trigger safety issues.

+2 on Survivor's board.  Lots of good info there.  Surplusrifle.com, as mentioned above, has all the info you need to break it down and reassemble.  Search Youtube too for a video on disassembly and reassembly.  I stick with the stock sights, but if you want a scope on it, there are several alternatives.  Just stay away from the reciever cover mounted ones, they are fairly useless.  Best way to mount a scope is to drill and tap the side of the reciever.  Take a look around, you'll see lots of stuff available for the SKS.  All the vendors mentioned by the above posts are good, also CDNN and Centerfire Systems has SKS stuff as well.

ETA:  I just realized I just about quoted FeedmyAR verbatim hat

This is where you set your rear sight to on you SKS this is battle position. Then use your sight adjustment tool to set your point of impacts side to side adjustment and the  sight pins up and down setting to zero at 100 Yds.  With my sights set like this I can pretty much nail anything out  to 150 Yds with no problems.

Front Sight  Adjustment tool   The front sight adjustment tool on the Tapco site is not for a YUGO.  However they do have allot of YUGO specific parts, you can find the tool you need here.milsurpstuff.com/proddetail.asp?prod=TAK

Scope mounts personally I feel you have only 2 choices if you want to be anywhere close to reliable  shot to shot accuracy.
