Hi I recently had my Yugo RPK built and am now looking to update the furniture on it. The wood is nice but would like other options. I have been told that standard hand gaurds and stocks will not work is this correct? Also any club foot stocks around for these?

The butt stock and pistol grip are the same found on the M70, and the handguards are unique to the M72.  No club foots to be had, the butt stocks and handguards from other countries' variants will not work on the M72.

Certainly anything is possible and you could make one to work, but it would be some serious modification work.
