Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Yugo M-92 kit came yesterday, "question"

I have 2 AK's, a Bulgarian SLR 95, and a Maadi. This M-92 kit has a small piece on the front sight base that flips up and covers the front sight pin. What is this? This is my first AK build and I have no clue what this is. I have done several AR 15's so this is a whole different deal. THANKS..
