Guy wants to sell me 500 rounds of wolf for $200, should i buy or wait for the frenzy to end?

That's a tough call..  If you've got plenty to burn through for the next few months I'd say hold off.  Keep an eye out.  Last week a guy sold me 1,000 rounds of Golden Tiger for $200, so there are still some reasonable people out there.  As far as the future of ammo prices, dealers are going to try to ride this scare train for awhile.  Eventually everyone will be in stock again, and the dealers will be competing for our business so prices will go down..  Don't expect that any day soon though..  Good luck with the deal of you decide to take it..

Wolf accounts for a majority of the 7.62x39 that is used in the US

At face value thats just shy of double "pre panic" prices.
In todays climate- it may be worth it.
The frenzy is far from over.

I'd say if you are low, why not.  Nothing wrong with wolf.  Is it ukraine or russian marked boxes?  If ukraine, it could be the batch from a few months ago that was actually corrosive.  I bought a case of it but didn't bother sending it back for swap out, and I know others that did the same.  I think my batch was 44s, just fyi.
