new commercial 5.45 is selling for $.18 to $.22 per round. and you won't have to clean immediately. no big deal as long as we don't embargo russian imports. then those .223 ak owners will be laughing at us.

right now im paying $128 for a tin including shipping. definately the cheapest ive found. i just have a feeling when wideners runs out and restocks, the price will go up just like everything else has. .11 a round is pretty nice for mil grade ammo if you dont mind a few extra minutes of cleaning.

I've gone a week without cleaning after shooting around 100 rds and there was no rust to speak of. The Bulgarian ammo is very mildly corrosive.

i bought a few tins last year from AIM advertized as Bulgy. I just ordered some Rus from Wideners recently. Looking at the pictures im not sure how to tell them apart. I've been meaning to get this really hot russian girl over so she can help me h.gif

Plus, "Mildly corrosive" is like being "Just a little pregnant".
How fast corrosive ammo can rust a weapon depends on the weather conditions. In the humid mid-West, I've seen rifles develop rust within one to two hours after shooting corrosive ammo. |
