My local fun shop has two SKS that I want, prices are a bit high then what Im use to but then again I havnt looked into getting an SKS in awhile.

The first one is a mint, and I mean MINT all matching Chinese SKS with the Jungle Carbine bakelite stock with a blade style bayonet. $359

The second one is a Chines "Paratrooper" I believe its one of the Navy Arms Cowboy imports as it has the side scope mount. Its in fair to good shape, not nearly as nice as the SKS above, however I am liking how short it is and is what Im looking for This one appears to have all of the bayo hardware remove completely and the slot in the wood filled in. $379

If you're not looking for something like an AK, buy the SKS with the 20" barrel.

Is $359+ tax a little high, fair or what? Its been awhile since Ive priced these things and that seems higher then what Im use to.

For the two Chinese modles you listed I would say $359 is too high.

If I were you I would either get a yugo and spend a little less but way more worth it, or save another $100 and buy a russian, jmo.

Pretty unusual stock IF is the the original real one. $325 is a good price.

Paratroopers are hard to find - same price IMO.

Naturally, less is better - but they are my estimated fair market price.

Since the "Jungle" stocks aren't an original feature, they really aren't worth a premium and the asking price is high. The Paratrooper is a little closer to a fair market price, it's normal for them to sell for around $75 more than an equivalent full length version
