Now this isn't really related to any AK, but I trust you guy's here. I will be turning 18 on the 24th of this monthher.  My mom has bought all of mine in the past. Which should I get, an Olympic AR15 or a Norinco Uzi. They cost about the same and I like them both.

Get the AR-15!!!

I've got 2 Uzi's and haven't shot them in years..., but I shoot my AK's & AR all the time!!!!

Uzi's are more of a novelty gun than a practical one!!

AR-15 would be my choice.

The Uzi is fun, but it's really heavy.  If you want to invest in a weapon shooting 9mm, I would get either an AR-15 (in 9mm) or pick up one of the MP-5 kits and a receiver and have it built.  The MP-5/HK-94 is surprisingly lightweight and fun to shoot.

I would go with the AR-15...I don't think I would want a semi auto uzi..IMO

AR, or SEAK if you really want to treat yourself.

AR, but if you must have an Olympic Arms, stay away from the "Plinker" model. I know a guy who's barrel seperated from the receiver. Better to spend the extra money and get a Bushmaster IMHO.

Uzis are fun too, but I'd imagine you'd be a lot happier with an AR.

Not to be worrisome, but why are your reasons for picking the AR over the Uzi. Thanks for the comments so far.
