I'm looking to purchase a Saiga 12.
I don't want to overspend though.
Like 2 years back apparently you could get them for $500.

It would be great if I could get one for that price now. Unfortunately with all the hype that is going on that seems a little more difficult.
But I'm still looking to get one. Hopefully for less than $700.

Anyone know a place I could look?

I found one like a month ago for 700. that was apparently in stock. Ordered it, and they called me a month later to say its no longer available.

I remember those days...... I bought mine for $510 on gunbroker with free shipping about 2-3 years ago. I think if you wait a little longer the prices will come down. As long as nothing else happens that is.... I would suspect after this summer things will be back to "normal". I hope. For the first time in months I saw lowers at the LGS for 85$ each this week. Good sign. They also had 8 ARs on the wall with some having a $700 price tag. The summer rush is on for new toys and should calm down once summer comes to an end and all this govt BS cools off.

I would check Saiga Forum Classified Ads everyday. That site has the highest volume of saiga 12 junkies. A lot of the guys there are pricks there but you should be able to find one for sale for a reasonable price.

The Chinese import copies will probably put something of a ceiling on future Saiga 12 prices.

The problem right now is that we haven't seen a shipment of ANY Saigas in months, which is driving the prices sky high.
