Are these guys squirrily or what?
I placed an order for a underfolder receiver on the ninth
of September and they haven't even processed my order yet.

Where else is a good place to get a receiver for one of these.
I bought a polish kit from CFS, it was not excellent but good+
only the lands look kinda chipped or something, took me
about an hour to figure out the folding stock but then I remembered
the internet!  Have learned a lot here and am looking forward to
starting my build, got the trunion and barrel apart, all rivets out
just need the receiver.

I am a C&R collector, and a blacksmith of some thirty years experience
so don't  have any problems with metal work.

Bad news, Joeken has one of the worst reputations around.

The good news is that if you ever get what you ordered from them, your Blacksmith skills will come in handy.

That's an open ended question.
It really depends on how much work you want to do.
Do a search on,Flats, Tapco, GT (Global Trades), Ewbanks, Ohio Ordinance.
This thread on page one here in BIY is OK too " Polish Underfolder flats at AK-Builder ?? "

Never buy anything from Joeken.  I'd suggest getting a Global 1.0mm Type 2 receiver directly from Global and have them ship it to your FFL.

If you want a Ewbanks receiver you can order that from Scott @dpharms

However if you were ordering the underfolder receiver from Joeken then I dunno where to tell you to get it.  Personally I built all my underfolders on GT 1mm receivers and cut my own holes.

In fact the "Tape Trick" post that just recently got bumped back to the first page has a pic in it of tape tricking the underfolder trunnion.
