I agree. I've, also, got a dust cover mount on my SLR and even though it fits very tightly it needs to be re-zeroed ever time I clean the rifle......I just hate to drill the reciever. I think that job should go to a good gunsmith. That would be the right way to go.

the Russian side rail is the only way to go...Tantal has mounts and scopes for every need... I use the MTK-75 with 1" Simmons scopes and others. Good luck.
