Some people hoard it. Others shoot it up. Since it can't be imported the supply is limited.

Since 1994, no steel core 7.62x39mm ammunition can be made or imported except for LE.

I have 389 rounds of steel core- 90 rounds East German, 49 rounds non-corrosive Chinese, and 250 rounds of Chinese corrosive. I hoard it.

I thought the date of no importation was 1989? You can thank those who made some 7.62x39 pistols for the ban on imports.

If not I am about to go to club fed for a bunch of '92 date steel core chinese!!!!

'89 was the import ban on guns that took military hi cap mags, had a pistol grip and had more than 10 imported parts... you know, 922(r).

If you have a 5.56AK then the 62gr steel core is easy to find!! +1 for owning a 5.56NATO AK!!!

a rumor circulated our fun show this weekend that supposedly a guy showed up with 7 crates of old chinese ammo in the spam cans, sold em all to one dealer for 50 bucks each!, now i scoured the whole place and couldnt get a sniff. supposedly he resold a couple for 110 and the rest went to his truck. some guys have all the luck

Hmmm, I kno wOlympic screwed you guys over, but TC Contender ahd to be jsut as bad, they ahve pistols in pretty much any Rifle caliber you could want....
