I had been using bent blanks, because there was no reasonably priced bending alternatives available for bending flats.
That has changed, and so have I. Tapco has been selling flats for $15 recently, and I picked up one of these bending jigs I bent 7 flats in one afternoon, each one came out perfect. bending jig thread |

I have read that you can not sell a homemade receiver.
I use Vulcan receivers because I like to have the option of being able to sell it if I tire of the AK. I paid $50.00 including transfer fee for mine. |
