I will check when I get home. I have a bunch on my workbench, they break, and when they do, you have extra pins

I've never converted a Saiga, but I think the AKs I've build have had 3mm pins for the FB and front sight, and 4mn for the rear sight block. |

Whenever I do sight and gas block work, I always drill and reinstall with 1/8th inch pins. They are just very slightly over the size of the originals and have never given me problems.

So it sounds like some of you are using the same exact diameter drill bit and pin?
I thought you had to use a pin that was slightly larger in diameter than the drill bit so the pin won't work itself out? Please correct me if I am mistaken about this? |

well that was my thought too. I broke a drill bit though and decided to see how the fit was with using it, for future reference. It punched in just as hard as a regular pin. I've only shot a few hondo out of it, but it hasn't moved.
