1440 round wood case with carry handles on both sides, 7.62x39, marked on one side of the head case 95 (i think this is the year, when i got it the seller said he got it about 5+ years ago) ; there is no red sealer on the primer or bullet, it has a lacquered steel case, Russian made. Boxes are white with blue writing that says "made to hunting specifications, made in Russia"

I shot 250 rounds today, it shot great. Very accurate and didn’t have that funky wolf ammonia smell.

No. But if anyone is not sure, they can do the 'nail' test where you pull a bullet and fire the primed cartridge on a nail. Use a 'control' and see if the test nail rusts faster.

There should be another number oppsite the "95" on the case head which will tell you who mfg. the ammo. Check the AK rifle ammo id page of my webpages for more into on your ammo.
