Hey I just ordered a Yugo Underfolder from this place and I'm wondering which reciever do I need to get to make this thing work?

This is my first kit, and I don't really know what I'm doing so any help till I learn the ropes would be great! Thanks.

Do I need to get any special thickness? milled or stamped? There are quite a few choices out there.

'92fs':

It is going to be easier to reassemble your parts kit if you use the same type of receiver (milled or stamped) as the kit was originally built with.
A stamped receiver kit will have a separate trunnion, into which the barrel is installed. A milled receiver kit will not have a trunnion; the barrel installs directly into the milled receiver.
If your Yugo kit is from a stamped receiver rifle, and has a "bulged" trunnion, it is best to find a receiver that accommodates the exterior dimensions of the trunnion.

Thanks for asking. Without being a paid advertiser here, I try to avoid posting info that can be construed as improper 'For Sale' language.

We expect to get a delivery this week of DCI M70 receivers. Versions for the fixed and for the underfolder stock will be available.
Once we get the delivery, the receivers will be marked and heat treated.

I can post further updates, if that is okay.

ETA on topic information. I just built a Yugo M92 underfolder with a Global 1.0mm receiver. Came out nice and can be seen here.

Because of a slight production delay, we did not get a delivery of M70 receivers this week (August 5th). Production run work is to continue over the weekend and a delivery next week looks very promising.
I got to inspect, but not photograph, a production run receiver (underfolder stock version) this afternoon and it is impressive.
I should get enough new news on Monday to warrant another update post.

We got a delivery of production run M70 receivers today. The receivers still need to be marked and heat treated. We will get more deliveries this week.
For info, e-mail me at [email protected].

Thanks.

We marked a decent quantity of receivers today, and expect to do a better number on Friday. The receivers marked today go to heat treat on Friday. More receivers are being sent to us.

Nice. My kit just came in and its a M70AB2 but I can't tell if its a stamped or milled reciever.
But I just got back from Luisianna so I'm pretty tired and not really into looking at it closer.

If one of your recievers will work for this thing I might be seriousely interested in one.

Take care man.

I've tried with the shops I've used in town, but they won't give me a call back. I called both about 2 weeks ago and still no info from them (Looking for 1 fal - 1hk91 - 1yugo underfolder recievers) I guess it's not very important compared to complete rifle sales. In other words, I'll travel for good service. Please IM me with info.

'MrKrink':

We will have AKM receivers available in late September.

We have been shipping the M70 underfolder stock receivers to customers during the last two weeks of August, and we will begin shipping the M70 fixed stock receivers as soon as we get them back from heat treat, probably late during the first week of September.

Thanks.

The DCI receiver is great. I just finished my UF with it and it all went very smooth. If the AKM receivers are as good they should have a tremendous market share quickly.

Now thats what I'm talking about! Unfortunatly, I ship off for MCRD San Diego on October 17th, and I'm not going to have the time too put my underfolder together for quite a while.

But I'll have all my peices ready for when I get settled.

Templar,

That underfolder looks great !!!

A couple of questions...

Did you have to remove the bbl from the front  trunnion in order to install the trunnion to the receiver?  If so, how did ya do it?

How hard is it to get the folding stock disassembled/reassembled on the rear trunnion?  How do ya do it?

Where did you get the rivets and what did you use to put such a nice pretty round head on them?

Thanks!!!
