Just getting the forms ready and wondered if I put "AK74/ Krinkov" if that would suffice.

Why not AKS-74U?

Spoke with a rep from Azex Arms who was nice enough to take a minute to explain that the model stamped on the 5.45 OOW receivers is "AK74." He mentioned another model designation for the 7.62 receivers. If I noted it on my desk at work, I'll post it in this thread tomorrow.

On the receiver on the OOW logo it says model MK99 or something like that. That is what I put on my form.

That's what he said the 7.62 receivers had on them. Can anybody confirm that the 5.45s say "AK74?"

Since you are making an SBR you can designate the model as anything you want. Just remember to have it engraved with your info.

Troy,

Do you mean to have whatever you put on the form as your designated model name engraved into the rifle or were you just saying to remember to have the makers name & location engraved? If I put AK74 / Krinkov on the form and the receiver only says AK74 but not Krinkov, am I okay?

I would have the model engraved as it appears on the form. We engrave ours AKS-74U. They can do it when you engrave your personal info on it.
