I plan on getting am Aimpoint soon, probably an M2. I plan on sharing between ARs and AKs to see how well it works on each too.

What mounts work well on AKs?

If I mount it the same distance as is popular on AR/M4s , the back of the tube would be even with the front of the AK trigger guard. Right? Does this sound good to AK red dot users?

The Ultimak gas-tube mount is IMHO, quite excellent. And no, it does NOT overheat the Aimpoint. I know. I've tried. It also allows you to co-witness your iron sights; a fancy term for being able to see your iron sights right through the scope tube.

Luck,

I have the KV-O4S mounted on an AK-103k. Mount fit perfect and is low to the bore. Aimpoint fits perfectly on it.

Is the mount directly in line with the bore or off to the left?

Mount is directly in-line with the bore.

Do you have any pictures of it mounted on your rifle? I'm thinking about getting one.
