One of the guys from my last build party is having weak primer hits on his Romy.  Fire a round, weak primer hit, fire 2-3 rounds, weak primer hit, fire a round, etc..
He swapped out the Romy bolt for a bolt on another rifle that works great, same problem.  I can't think of what is causing it, but I haven't been able to look at it either.  I'm not sure if it's a US made FCG or the original, I'll have to ask.  At the build, the headspacing checked out good, bolt closes on a round, almost closes on the 'Go' gauge and won't close on a 'No-Go' gauge.  Any help would be great.

Weak primer hit ...........sounds like a weak hammer spring

tell him not to change around the bolts that not smart

but as to his prob can only be couple of thangs

hammer spring is toast
the hammer pin hole is in the wrong spot
or hes trying to bumpfire and doing a piss poor job :)

I was firing my own builds when he was test firing his, but didn't know he swaped out the bolt till after he had done it.  That could put the rifle out of headspace spec's .  I'll let him know when I post over there again, to not swap parts out again.  I'll tell him about the springs too.

Make sure the hammer is hitting square on the back of the bolt.
