Since they're new I guess you have to press the barrel in yourself? Are these any more desireable than Bulgarian or just different?
Hmmm...almost all of 7.62x51's buys are affiliated with ORF.
Tood, Mike...any info for us on Yugo imports? take care, Tec |
Hesse/Vulcan is the importer if I am not mistaken.
They are also responsible for the last batch of Russian kits, and some of the Bulgarian AK-74s. |
That is a cute little gun.
Am I allowed to say cute when refeering to an AK? |
ditto. I think it's cool as hell. Firingline rec, parts kit=Krink heaven. |
Too bad the kits aren't here yet, then I'd jump on board. I hate these advance group buys. My guess is late Dec. will turn into early April...
Are these kits from demilled rifles or are they a collection of new Yugo parts ala K-Var Bulgy krink kits? Anyone know?
Okay, I'll play the newbie card here - how is the 7.62x39 out of a short barrel? Everybody says that
5.56mm is 'barrel-length' dependant. How about the standard AK round? |
LOUD!!!! You must allways remember one thing.. These guns are toys, who cares what loss of power you get.. Shorten the bbl and the fun factor goes up.. |
Sure, you can say it is cute. Some people say rabid dogs are cute before they rip your face off. |
Anybody know the seller, who can vouch for them not being of the Joken'g variety? If they have
verified status (the sellers) I can probably talk Mrs. Tanker into this being my Christmas present! ETA: DOH!! Just saw that ORF might be affiliated with these guys. If that's the case, I think I might be sending off a check soon! |
Orin is over at the FAL Files and AK Files. He coordinates the group buys on ORF's goodies. |
I'm relatively new to the AK side of the house, but if Orin is okay people w/ ORF, that's good enough for me! |
Guys,
I cannot confirm assoc just yet. But they are super sweet kits. They are new demilled rifles like the 74s so brl is pressed and headspaced. Yugo/Russian stuff is the best of the best parts, guns, etc. There is a limited number of them, and they should be here to be under the Christmas tree (so I am told) Todd@ORF |
Not quite fun to control the aim rapidly in Krink form. Have nto chrono'd the Krink length, but a friend tried the 12.6" AMD and found only about 150fps lost vs 16". |
OK, so it is "sexy" not "cute"
Damn, I would kill for one of those. Alas, in Illinois I would need a fake supressor attached, but i still would be worth it! Todd, if any of those kits happen to show up under the tree and magically become assembled guns, please let me (er, us here at AK-47) know! [edited] eh, I may have misunderstood your innuendo there...if so just ignore my stupidity. |
I emailed Orin and he said the kits came from guns with 1mm receivers.
Either a Krink or an M70 kit'd be sweet. I have some pictures of a Yugo Krink with the standard receiver: In fact, the dimple is rather Global Trades -like, isn't it? |
What are chance of seeing 5.56mm M92 kits? Hmmmm.....for that matter, how about an RPK-style receiver?
UGH thanks for the info.... Odd that Zastava made standard length and shorty 7.62x39mm AK's with both the RPK style 1.5mm and AKM style 1mm recievers.
OODA_Loop Here's the latest Zastava 5.56mm AK, note also the continued use of the RPK style reciever: Zastava's web site: www.zastava-arms.co.yu/english/vojni.htm |

Hi Guys,
Thought I'd cruise over here to see what was going on and find that you guys are way ahead of me on getting the word out regarding these kits. I'm going to add a FAQ section to the group buy ordering page later tonight that will hopefully answer any questions that you have regarding the kits. Link for this page is www.autochart.com/zastavaM92.htm Regards, Orin |
The guy making the AR70 receivers is planning to make RPD receivers sometime soon so, depending on the trunuion these come with, we should be covered.
I just added a FAQ section to the M92 page that I hope will answer most, if not all, of your questions.
Please take a look at www.autochart.com/zastavaM92.htm and let me know if I've overlooked anyone's question. Thanks, Orin |
Thank you kindly. Any chance of M70-type (standard AK, fixed or folder) coming in?
Sweet! I guess it's so zippy-the-wonderdog cool that it doesn't need a rear sight? [I want one] |
Sweet! I guess it's so zippy-the-wonderdog cool that it doesn't need a rear sight? [I want one] I am guessing from looking at the other web page pics that there is a small flip-up sight where the sights usually are on AKs, but I can't prove it. Look at the web page and pics from the other side, looks like it pivots there? |
Could you use a rear pistol trunion instead of the folding stock to make this a sort of krinkov pistol?!hug.gif
Only if you mail the left over underfolder to me when you're done . . . . _disconnector_ |
ANyone get one of these kits yet? Anyone know if there are any left?
I am in on the group buy. I got an email from orin today and it looks like the kits wont be here until mid february.
If you go to the group buy that the link was provided I think you can still get in on these? Mark |
Hi Guys...
Like "Thealien" said, the kits have been delayed until mid February so I am leaving the buy open for now. Regards, Orin |
Thanks for the quick update Orin. Gotta scrounge some funds up so I can preorder one for a build. |
Sorry if I missed it above, but could someone give me the contact info for whoever is selling these? I wasn't able to access the link in the initial thread. Thanks
Here is the link Zastava M92 Group Buy Link Regards, Orin |
Thanks for the link Orin. I noticed that in the FAQ that these are obviously for a stamped receiver. I was considering a pistol version using one of the firing line milled receivers. Would this be possible?
I also noticed that you are from NC. Are you going to the Raleigh Gun Show this weekend? |
Why not go with an Ohio Ordnance Works stamped reciever? Cheaper, lighter, and should work with these kits. |
Some people like milled receivers. |
They are designed for a stamped receiver and I suspose you could use a milled one but it would sure be a lot of work. I hope to be at the Raleigh show on Saturday morning, around 11 AM. Call me on my cell at 336-601-8418 if you want to meet. Orin |
