I think I already know the answer to this, but figured I'd ask here first.  I recently picked up a Mak-90 (B-West import model) for a good price.  I wasn't sure about the back end of rhe receiver until pulled off the butt-hole stock.  Much to my relief, it's a squared off stamped gun.  I'm now looking to ditch the BH stock.  What are my options?
Can I basically find a stock that I think looks good and slap it on?   What about the Romy side-folders?
Any URL's would be super helpful.   I ran google into the ground last night looking for stocks, but kept coming up with shotgunner type sites and got tired of wading through them.

TIA,
Dave

To stay within the confines of the law, make SURE you have the correct number of US made replacement parts otherwise the BATF may make sure that you are someone's prom date for the next few years!

With that out of the way, you can always check http://www.k-var.com/store.asp and http://www.tapco.com/ for compliance parts and or other replacement stock parts.

IMHO, I think the TAPCO stock sets suck and look very cheap so I would probably go with K-VAR if I were in the market to make my MAK-90 look evil.

Hope this helps.

These guys are original suppliers, I have purchased from them.  The butt stock I got from them was most likely removed to install the thumb hole version.  http://polytechparts.com/

The Romy side folders will work.  You have to do a little filing on the block that goes into the receiver because the Chicom receivers are a little thicker .  I had one on mine for awhile, but I always go back to fixed stocks.  KVar will have stocks that fit.  You can usually find fixed Romanian wood stock sets on the EE for a reasonalble price.  Again, any thing European spec will require some fitting.  I use a G2 FCG and US mag followers and floor plates for my compliance parts.

Did the stock fit the 1.5mm MAK receiver without any fitting? Does it include the Buttplate and sling hardware?  Thanks. Any pics?

Yes, yes, and I cannot post here as I am too cheap to pay for the privelige.  The items you get from Poly Tech are original Chinese unless stated otherwise.

You can try Ironwooddesigns.com. He makes full sets of stocks for all kinds of receivers out of laminated wood or walnut. He has a photo site of finished products and they are US made counts for 3 parts. Also has a staining process which is inexpencesive to do.
