Federal Arms has a WASR-2 listed in thier most recent catalog. It's a AK-74 type rifle in 5.45 and a 16" barrel and one 30 round mag for $308. The rifles are new.

Does anyone have any experience or know anything about this rifle? That's a good price.

Thanks Jicky. Did you have a chance to shoot the 7.62? My Norinco 7.62 is rough, but it's a great shooter. Rough is OK with me as long as they work well.

I didnt get to shoot them they were at a gun store..The gas tube were canted the front sites were canted..They looked to me that they were canted from the trunnion block..I didnt even know that was possible???? One was better than the other not allot but the other could have shot around a corner..If you could hand pic one that would be better, and yes Ive seen some bad SAR's..But I would have thought that the "04" models would be better than they were???The finish on the metal was typical but the wood was not finished at all just wood..... hope it help's....Hell they could have been tack driver's but I very much doubt it...

From what I've heard the WASR 2 and 3's are not even in the country yet.

Maybe so, but Federal Arms is advertising them for sale now.
