Hello, (this is my 1st post.)  I am a n00b and wanted to ask the opinion of the experts....I am currently looking for a quality underfolder and based on the research I did, I concluded the Vector underfolder to be a good buy considering price/quality.  Can you please help me make a final decision on which underfolder to purchase.  I really like the Arsenal underfolder but @ $1,200.00 + .......thats a little more than I have to spend right now........ any suggestions will be greatly appreciated......   ( a local dealer promised me the vector underfold with wood furniture with a two week wait for $575.00 +tax)

anyone going to te gun show in dec @ the Farm show complex Harrisburg,Pa?

I have a Vector Underfolder and I like it a lot.  It is reliable, accurate, has a great trigger, and a 5 year warranty.  I would recommend a Vector highly.  I might be at the Harrisburg Gun Show in Dec. but not sure yet.

WOW!h.gif  That is beautiful.  I get the same warm feeling when I look at the vector as I do when I look at my 8 month old baby boy!

This is the first time I got to see a Vector with a good clear picture.  I have not been able to see a Vector in person yet and the only pics I saw were the ones from the vector website and atlantic website.  Thank you sooooooo much for the eye candy!  Please post more if time allows you to.  Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Those hand guards......the finish........ THAT PICTURE LADIES AND GENTLEMAN HELP ME MAKE THE DECISION........I'm going to be a proud owner of the VECTOR!

ok...time for banana dancing....both on the post and in my office here.......

I do see the infamous "gap" between the safety and the top cover.  I've read a lot in regard to that gap and some ak owners dislike it.  I dont think I will mind it and I am still going to buy the vector as soon as the dealer opens today, I am there!  Can you give me some feedback on what you think of the "gap?"

The gap is nothing.   I never even noticed mine , until I heard snobs whine about it.

Now I can't sleep at night and I am constantly stressed out.  (Just kidding)

Really, it's no big deal.

+1.  I really can't see paying twice as much for an Arsenal.

That gap is present with OOW receivers. The newer Vectors use Global trades receivers and should not have the gap.

Vector does not include a sling.

have you ever fired an underfolder before?

they're probably the least comfortable to shoot.

just an fyi before you buy it.

I found mine to be more comfortable than the Romy wire side folder

Yes I used to own a chinese underfolder,  I sold it approx 8 years ago to a local news man's camera man. (Ron Martin's camera man News 8 wgal York, PA)  Wish i could take that back.... That sale and the sale of my valmet chambered for 5.56 nato really made me promise myself never to sell any weapon that I own or will own.  If it is good enough for me to purchase it......it's gonna stay with me till I pass.... I also sold a Colt A2 Gov Carbine, luckily and by chance....I met an officer with a local P.D. that happened to own my weapon that I sold approx 7 years ago..... we were sitting on my porch talking shop one warm day and I expressed all kinds of regret of this particular weapon....I went on to tell him all the things I did to modify it.....everything I said I did to the weapon...he said he has....so finally I asked him where he had acquired the weapon and he said from Officer M. Ludwig  (from another local P.D.)  I SOLD IT TO M. Ludwig!!!!!  The new owner of the weapon decided to sell it back to me before he went to serve in Kosovo.

Ok, I have had this Vector Underfolder for a couple weeks now and was able to put some rounds downrange with it so i thought I would leave some feedback for others who may be searching for info on the said ak.

I got it, cleaned it and went to the range, put 360 rounds of wolf downrange without a single malfunction.

A week later, a shootin buddy called and wanted to shoot.  I grabbed the vector (uncleaned since the last outting) and some wolf 7.62x39 and rolled out.  I put an additonal 180 rounds through it  Not a single malfunction.

It shoots very nice.  The build is very clean (nice rivet heads, nice wood hand guards, very worth the money.  I think Atlanticfirearms.com has them for $589.00

here is the website:  http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/programming/expand.asp?Prodid=8  sorry I don't know to make it "hot."

I also own an Arsenal, a polytech Legend, 3 polish underfolders, and a romanian wasr, so I based the above review with first hand experience with other ak varients that are out there.  I am no expert on ak's though so take this as strictly opions from me.  Hopefully this will help those of you who are thinking about getting the VECTOR.    Enjoy!
