I have a Vector Underfolder that I got in a trade for an AR.  I like the Vector a lot.  It is accurate, reliable, and has a 5 year warranty.  Vector does stand behind their products.

It would be great if Vector would  install scope rails on their AKs. This is one reason why I hesitate to get another one.

I Love my Vector Underfolder from AtlanticFirearms.com  I'm going to order a standard stock one soon.  Mention ar15.com and you can have it for $449.99  The website says $499.99 but Blaine offers us discounts!  Also the underfolder is $559.99 right now.........sale ends Dec 31st I think.

I had a Vector UF.  Great rifle.  Would recommend you get one.  I just did not like the UF stock.

Vector UF... THE best $500 I've spent on a rifle.  Goes bang every time, good for 1-minute-of-head @ 100 yards.

Did y'alls  Vector underfolders from atlantic have the milled underfolder struts with the drop or did they come straight back? Also, are they being built on global trades recievers? I am plannin on ordering one this week to take advantage of the discount but I really want the milled underfolder drop and a global trades reciever.

Yes, mine came with the drop underfolder and global reciever. It also came with beautiful Polish laminate wood and double hook G2. The only thing you should have to do is change the pistol grip. I put a US made laminate grip(from grey_son) to match the Polish handgrips.

Mine has the OOW receiver. Newer ones have Global Trades receivers. Some supposedly even have the JoeKen receiver

I got three from Blaine and all had Armory receivers.  I think Blaine has said he will not sell the ones with the JOEKING/Eubanks receivers. Just make sure of what you are getting.  Some folks like the JOEKING receivers, and that's fine.  But nothing from those crooked credit-card charging mo-fo's will ever go into my safe.

I do not have a vector now, I had one and while it worked just fine, the build looked not nice....only cosmetic though, like I said, it worked just fine

Now, about those scope rails, I have a whole bunch of AKs with scope rails and not a single one will ever get a scope....iron sights baby...yeah!!!!

VECTOR? Hellyeah!

I waited for my Underfolder from April til December for it and worth every minute. Excellent Polish kit with a VERY bright bore, fit/finish about 9/10 and shoots great - of course(like all AKs). The metal stock is sturdy enough.

My one big gripe against Vector is their greed factor when it comes to accessories. Vector gives you ONE magazine and a manual with the rifle - and that's all. All the other items that "should" come with it - sling, oil bottle, (at least) one more mag, and bayonet - you have to buy from them at very undiscounted prices(even the cleaning kit!).  But I guess that's just business and they do it cause they know their product is good with strong demand.

ON THE RECEIVER - mine has a Ewbanks receiver and I don't see a problem with it at all.  What I see is quality machine work and even the letter stamping and SN is neat and clean - far better than any ChiCom, European and GTs receivers that I have OWNED.

So why all the hate leveled on Ewbanks?

JPC, IMO you'll be very pleased with a Vector AK.

I'm more than happy with my Vector AK.  It's a basic Polish AKM with the black fixed stock and was built an on OOW receiver.

I spoke to Rex (from Vector) at the S.A.R. Show about the Ewbanks receivers, and he said they were just fine.  He mentioned that they were properly heat-treated, and the only caveat was they sometimes needed a little "adjusting."  (I took that to mean "filing.")
