I spotted one for sale the other day. Just wondering what the value of it might be.

Pre 89 import, would be anywhere from $1000-$1500.

Last SA 85M I saw was around $450 at the local gunshow.

Not sure if it was pre-89 or not.

I have a post-ban rifle (welded slant and no lugs) with an FEG stamped receiver. It's finish on both the wood and metal is the best I've ever seen. I paid $450 or so for it.

It would have had a bayo lug and a pistol grip w/ stock seperate from each other, not the PC thumbhole type on the SA 85Ms.

Here's a thread with good pics of both pre 89 FEG models: ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=4&f=77&t=72851

It had an AMD65 brake and a Tapco folding stock on it.

The receiver was marked as FEG.

ETA: Sorry, I found that amusing, for a rebuilt receiver or modified FEG rifle I would expect the cost to be dramatically less
