Will the ultimak mounts fit on these guns? If so which model would it be? Thanks!

Yes they will and I'm pretty sure that both M-1B (No Vent Holes) and M-2B (Vent Holes) will both fit depending on which Saiga you get.

What do you mean "depending on which version you get?"

Can we get it clear in black-and-white (or in the case of this board, black-on-kind-of-neutral-gray) which Ultimak goes with which rifle?

.410
20ga
12ga
.223
5.45x39
7.62x39
.308

I have the 5.45 and am contemplating getting a .308 and would love to know which rail to get.

.410 - Don't know.

20ga -
M11-L, but this isn't a gastube replacement, it attaches to the gastube on fixed sight guns.

12ga - M11-L, but this isn't a gastube replacement, it attaches to the gastube on fixed sight guns.

.223 - M-1B (No Vent Holes) and M-2B (Vent Holes), but I believe you need barrel shims.

5.45x39 - M-1B (No Vent Holes) and M-2B (Vent Holes), but I believe you need barrel shims.

7.62x39 - M-1B (No Vent Holes) and M-2B (Vent Holes)

.308 - None that I know of.

If I am wrong, someone correct me.

Okay, awesome. I was reading somewhere that you need a specific model for the Saiga rifles, as if the gas tubes were different like on the Yugo M70 rifles.

Contact Ultimak about it just to be sure. They will either confirm or correct what I stated.

You should be fine with the M1-B model. Only the Romanian 5.45's like SAR2's need special shims because their barrel outside diameter is smaller than other 5.45's. The M1-B should fit Bulgarian and Russian pattern 74's
Vent holes or no vent holes, it doesn't matter for function.

Yes they work vented or not. I mounted one with a modified original saiga handguard.

No barrel shims required for a 5.45 Saiga, and I went with M-2B, the holes are really irrelevant but I think they may let a bit of the corrosive nasty gas out earlier rather than venting toward your trigger group. But either M-1B or M-2B works for 5.45, .223, and 7.62 Saigas.

I just talked to Ultimak and asked them this very question.

The M-1B will fit the Arsenal (Saiga) SGL-31 rifle.  The only rifles you will need shims for are some .22 caliber Romanian barrels, which are increasingly rare.  For the Russian made guns, you're fine with the M-1B.  Mine is in the mail.
