I accidently removed too much material from the top rail.  I was wondering if it is a horrible thing the carrier has play in it when inserted into the receiver.  I beleive each side currently has .180" of material.  I found out from elsewhere each side should have around .190" of material.  Should I be starting over on a new flat?  Much easier to remove material than put it back on Thank you.

if you jerk on the carrier does it pop out of the rails anywhere other than the rear of the receiver?  If not you should be good to go.
