You'd be better off buying my Romy off the EE.  

I've owned a WASR and wasn't impressed.

From the specimen I examined, the new WASR 3 was prettey decent - better than any of my SAR3 out of the box. Wood was slightly better, no cant, good internals (OldTroop and others confirmed it was a G2), finish was about the same. None of that really matters - didnt get to shoot it but based on my observations and reports of others - at least the WASR3 aint a step backwards.

The older WASR didnt impress me either. But given this new round of imports, perhaps that has changed. Dunno - if someone has handled these perhaps thay can pipe up. Wouldnt even mention this, but I was surprised at the WASR3 so perhaps the acts together now.
