Has anyone purchased from these guys?  On the level?  Any guesses on delivery time 9trying to avoid a Joeken experience!)

I'm wondering about melting?? Anyone give one of these a hard workout...

Mine should be on my SAR-1 soon, I'll give a good report to you guys. BTW got it in OD green and bought matching pistol grip, upper hand guard, forward folding grip, and 1" flashlight mount in OD green too.

I sent them an email asking about melting and was told that they won't melt.

Not sure if I believe it though. Maybe I'll get a screwdriver red hot and see if I can melt a bit on the inside.

I had/sold ten of these here on ARFCOM when TDI first put them on the market. I have one on my AK too. No problems with melting at all, that I know of... I put mine through quite a bit heat.  It is extremely well built and strong. TDI makes great stuff.

Thanks a lot guys!! I had just decided to configure my SAR1 with a Rom. sidefolder and laminated wood verticle foregrip this Sept. until I read this thread!!

Now I'm wanting this forearm with a verticle foregrip and a light unit!! Still plan on the Rom. sidefolder. Might have to get the UltiMak gas tube scope mount also!!

I'm thinking that this might make a fun little CQB lead hose!!

Hank, that looks real sweeet!! What kind of front sight/gas block is that? I also noticed that you have a peep sight on it, that's another "must have" item I'm wanting. I like the look of your stock too...Tapco is supposed to be releasing a Galil style sidefolder soon so that might replace the Romy sidefolder. D@mn, I never thought it would be so hard to choose how I wanted to set up my SAR1!!

I haven't got a chance to really play with mine.  Here's a pic.

I ordered my handguard straight from TDI.  TDI sent me an email telling me that the purchase would be paid to their US store (Mako Security).  I recently order a foregrip from Mako.

Thanks! The sight block, stock, Galil style grip, and gas tube guard are from ACE. In September, I will be adding the simple ACE folding adaptor. In my opinion, ACE makes excellent stuff. The sight block accepts AR15 sight posts... I have an A1 post in mine. It will also accept the Trijicon AR15 sight post. The mojo peep sight is from RSA. I like it more than the standard the AK rear sight but it still does not provide the sight picture that I want (i.e., an AR sight picture), but like I said, it is definately an improvement over the standard sight (for my taste).

The handguard above doesn't fit too well on the SEAK rifle. It will take some pounding.

I've got an ultimac scope mount too, and it looks like it's definitly going to take some dremel work to get them both on at the same time.

The TDI fore-grip is designed to be a really tight fit.  It even says so in the installation instructions.  It's supposed to be tight so that when you instal a laser, it holds "zero" when the rifle is bounced around.  I don't think there should be any problems from it melting.  It's made from a high temp "delrin" type polymer.  It's actually sturdy as h3ll!  I like mine a lot.  They make a sweet tactical pistol grip too!  Click here to check out more of TDI's products...

You aren't kidding. I got it on, but I had to do some dremeling to get it under the ultimak scope mount and a heck of a lot of pounding just to get the cap back down. I hope I don't have to take it off for any reason for a long time.
