There is one person that had a Made in Romania sticker on one of his mags, but others say that the ones they received are Polish. Anybody have anything definitive past that?

I ID mine using the info in the mag forum, and they appear to be Polish, but I looked at the mag that came with my Romy kit and it had the same side rib pattern,so at this point I'm not sure.We used to have a thread that would help ID mags by the numbers stamped on the rib,but I could'nt find it.

Could someone who got a mag with a Romania sticker take a clear picture of the side and the floorplate?

My 10 came today- all very rusty.  Some are rusted so badly that the follower won't move. I'll have to break them down, soak them in oil, and wire brush them.

I'm glad I only got 10.

I got my 20 mags today.  All of them but two had the white sticker saying "Made in Romania".

But, the two that didn't have the sticker were exactly the same as the other eighteen.

I should have ordered more.  All of mine were new with storage and shipping scrapes on them.  There was a little surface rust on a couple, but with a little oiling and rubbing - they will be as new also.

I can try and get pictures of the floorplates and sides also.

Ordered mine Sept 10 at 1am. Came today. None had any stickers, only (2) had very mine 1-2 tiny rust spots and all except  (1) looked like they had not seen much if any use. No dents deep scratches or stuck followers. Took about an hour to strip prep steel wool and light dremel 3 spots and grill paint 2 coats. When they dry Ill check springs and remove and clean if necessary, but I doubt any will need it. Very pleased. Id have ordered more except as of THIS time I cant  justify
more than (20) 30 rounders, thats not including drums, 40's, and 20's. Oh, and I am 95% sure all the ones I got are Polish and all match.

I say Romanian too. With all the Romy kits coming in I would bet the mags were sold off and now we are seeing these being sold.
Mine came today too, I would say this is a smoking deal even with the storage/shipping/handling wear and the small amount of rust.
Anyone want to trade a 74 FSB/GB for some mags?

Damn.  Sorry to hear that.  I knew I was rolling the dice on these and am very satisfied with the condition of the mags I got.  I hope you can get them cleaned up.

they may be Romanian, i have a 10 rounder that came with a SAR 1 and it has the same side stamping as the SG mags (and Polish mags).  unfortunately it's cut down from a 30 rounder so i can't check it for numerals stamped on the spine or horizontal ribs.

Once I get the parts moving I'm sure they'll run like  a top.  Best magazines in history.

OK here's the pics of floorplates and some shots of  the ribs.

These are all Romanian w/stickers.  Only two did not have the stickers, but as mentioned before they have the same markings and look identicle.

Hop this helps in IDing a little.
