I'm thinking about putting a side folder on a Saiga 12 I dont want to go with aftermarket ones. I was thinking more along the lines of the triangular stock found on the Krinks. I understand I must use Domestic manufactured parts for this to be legal. Where can I aquire one of these stocks and what is involved in the installation?

Yep I bet it would hurt. I'm kinda tron between the folder or the straight stock. All I know is the cowboy Bob stock it has now has got to go. SOON

Here's a pic of my Saiga-12 rebuild in-progress, using the RPB Krink-style nonfolder and Bulgarian strap-on recoil pad:

Tantal has everything you need. The original Russian style AK 74/100 sidefolder is about $240 delivered. Expensive but worth it to me. Hell, I had the stock assy. before I bought the gun.

Edited to add:

US part count is four, fire control group and pistol grip is the cheapest.

What fook said .... you can go with a foriegn folder.

Domestically, Folks are liking the Ace stuff pretty good.

Doesn't a shotgun need to be at least 26" by Federal law, or its an SBS?

Anyhow....might be wrong.

A Saiga with a 19" barrel with the stock folded is 28.250". Cutting the barrel to 18" still maintains a legal overall length. It would not be required to be registered unless the barrel was 16.750" or less.

28" stock EXTENDED under Federal law.

Less than 18" barrel AND/OR less than 28" OAL with stock EXTENDED -> SBR.
